Kansas City, Mo ? The Kansas City Royals announced new security measures for Kauffman Stadium for the 2004 season, which starts Monday.

The Royals said all bags and packages would be inspected before being brought into the stadium. Random guests also could be searched under new guidelines set by the league.

Also, the Royals won’t allow guests to re-enter the ballpark after they leave.

Fans may not bring large bags, coolers and alcoholic drinks into the facility, the club said.
