A Douglas County jury was deadlocked this morning in the trial of Brian K. Charles.

The Lawrence man was charged with breaking into a woman’s home, holding her at knifepoint and fondling her in spring 2002.

Jurors could not not reach a verdict on the charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated sexual battery.

However, they did find him guilty of possession of marijuana and attempted burglary of a different apartment.
