Berniece L. Marsh

Mrs. Marsh died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

She was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Chaffee, the daughter of Abraham C. and Nancy L. Childers Wilkinson.

Mrs. Marsh was a homemaker, a former Girl Scout leader, volunteer for Meals on Wheels and former food chairman for Independence Days in Lawrence, Kan.

She and her husband moved to Lawrence, Kan., in 1988 and then to Tonganoxie, Kan., in 1995.

She married Norman L. Marsh on July 24, 1955, in Fredericktown. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Deborah C. Bailey, Del Rio, Texas; a son, Daniel C. Marsh, Draffenville, Ky.; two sisters, Rosemary Vaughn, St. Genevieve, and Stella Parsons, Granite City, Ill.; two brothers, Bill Wilkinson, Festus, and Abe Wilkinson, Peoria, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

A son, Douglas, died earlier.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence, Kan., and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home, Fredericktown.

The family suggest memorials to St. Luke’s Northland Hospital or the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the mortuary.
