Men sixth in California

Santa Cruz, Calif. — Kansas University’s men’s golf team is in sixth place in the 15-team 58th Annual Western Intercollegiate. Kansas opened the two-day tournament with a 287, then followed with a second-round score of 286. KU trails by 11 strokes after the first day. KU junior Andrew Price is tied for eighth at 140.

Women struggling

Austin, Texas — Kansas University’s women’s golf team is second-to-last after two rounds of the 18-team Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. The Jayhawks shot a 333 for a two-round score of 682 in the three-day tournament. Texas is first with a two-round score of 626. KU senior Jennifer Bawanan is tied for 63rd at 169.
