Anna Laura Koehn

Mrs. Koehn died Monday, March 15, 2004, at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.

She was born Oct. 15, 1909, in Greensburg, the daughter of Cornelius J. and Nettie (Schmidt) Dirks. She graduated from Greensburg High School and earned her teaching certificate from Bethel College in North Newton.

Mrs. Koehn was a homemaker and teacher at county district schools for five years. She also worked several years at the Kiowa County Library.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Home Builders Class, Just-a-Mere Club and Jolly Stitchers Club.

She married James E. Koehn on Aug. 12, 1932. He died Sept. 25, 1982.

A son, Richard J. Koehn, died Dec. 3, 2001.

Survivors include a son, Arden M. Koehn, Wichita; a daughter-in-law, Rita Koehn, Lawrence; two grandsons, James A. Koehn and Daniel S. Koehn, both of Lawrence; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fleener Chapel in Greensburg.
