Edwards services

Services for Nancy Beatrice Edwards, 78, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mustard Seed Fellowship Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Edwards died Friday, March 5, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 7, 1925, in Shaw, Miss., the daughter of Molster and Leanna (Turnipseed) Galloway.

Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God in Lawrence.

She married Coney Edwards on Dec. 9, 1945, in Arcola, Miss. He died April 20, 1979.

Survivors include six daughters, Katherine Connie Edwards Bratton, Faye Aldean Edwards Bell, Flora LeAnna Edwards Taylor and Brenda Rose Edwards, all of Lawrence, Wynetta Delease Edwards Oyeleye, Memphis, Tenn., and Lunda Marie Edwards, Topeka; six sons, James Lorenzo Edwards, Omaha, Neb., Major Cornelius Edwards, Leander Edwards and Coney Edwards Jr., all of Lawrence, and Decatro Edwards and Cardell Edwards, both of Topeka; five brothers, Franklin Galloway, John Galloway and Huey Galloway, all of Lawrence, Charles Galloway, Chicago, and Mickey Galloway, Arlington, Texas; a sister, Vivian Galloway Tubbs, Lawrence; 44 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
