FCE and 4-H news

India FCE will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of Wilma Stone. Dorothy Kerns will give the lesson on “Cooking For One or Two.”

  • Kanwaka FCE will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Margaret Wulfkuhle. The lesson will be “Helpful Household Hints.” The leader is Myrna Hartford.
  • The Stull Busy Beavers 4-H Club met Feb. 9. The meeting was called to order by Ashley Foos, vice president. Members made valentines, which were given to area nursing home residents. Club members will join Lecompton Elementary School students in a roller skating party from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.

The club will have an exchange meeting with the Cottonwood 4-H Club at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Stull United Methodist Church.

  • The Jayhawk 4-H Club met Feb. 9 at the Grant Community Center. Dulce Schultz presided over the meeting.

County Club Days were discussed. The club received a purple ribbon for a skit it performed and a blue ribbon in model meeting competition. Individual ribbons were distributed.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Grant Community Center. Members are asked to bring canned goods to donate to a local service agency.
