Donald A. Grob

Services for Donald A. Grob, 73, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Grob died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1931, in De Soto, the son of Fred and Mabel (Warsop) Grob. He moved in 1944 to Lawrence from De Soto.

Mr. Grob served in the Kansas National Guard for seven years. He was a self-employed contractor and member of the Eagles Lodge Mount Oread Aerie No. 309.

He married Virginia L. Zillner on July 28, 1952, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Sue Elder, Newton, Elaine Creasey, Lawrence, and Janice Grob, De Soto; four sons, Allen, Gary and Dean, all of Lawrence, and Brad, Overland Park; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County or Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
