Alice A. Robison

Services for Alice A. Robison, 89, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Washington Creek Cemetery near Lone Star.

Mrs. Robison died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Lake View Manor Nursing Home.

She was born June 16, 1914, in Douglas County, the daughter of Pearl F. and Lillie (Dillon) Johnson. She grew up and attended schools in the Lone Star area.

Mrs. Robison and her husband farmed and raised chickens in Douglas and Jefferson counties for many years, and sold and delivered fresh eggs throughout the area. They lived in the Williamstown area from 1952 until 1987, when they moved to a townhouse in Lawrence. She was an active member of the Perry United Methodist Church.

She married Noelan Robison on June 16, 1934, in Lawrence. He died March 18, 1999.

Survivors include two sisters, Cecil Johnson and Donna Wingert, both of Lawrence.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to Odyssey Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home.
