Law enforcement report

  • Police arrested an 18-year-old Topeka man early Saturday on suspicion of pulling a handgun on another Topeka man in a fight outside Abe & Jake’s Landing, 8 E. Sixth St.

Injury accident

  • A 25-year-old Lawrence woman was injured Friday when another driver failed to yield and struck her car near the intersection of 17th and Massachusetts streets, according to a report. Andrea L. Banks was driving a 1986 Volkswagen Jetta north on Massachusetts when a 1992 Subaru driven by 19-year-old Stephanie E. Kirmer, Lawrence, exited a private drive and failed to yield, according to a report. Banks was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A Sony laptop computer and $80 cash were taken between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday from a home in the 1300 block of Ohio Street, according to a report. The items belonged to two Kansas University students.
  • A 23-year-old woman reported a $2,000 gold and platinum link bracelet, a $400 wedding band, a diamond earring and an assortment of DVDs and compact discs taken between 9:15 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Thursday from her home in the 900 block of Rockledge Road, according to a report.
  • A Eudora man reported four saddles worth $2,500 taken from his horse trailer. The saddles were taken sometime between 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in the 900 section of East 2100 Road, according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report.
