Meyer services
Services for Douglas Kinemond Meyer, 37, Overland Park, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence. Private burial will be Saturday in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, Neb. A memorial service will be later in Garden City.
Mr. Meyer died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
He was born July 21, 1966, in Garden City, the son of Donald and Donna (Kinemond) Meyer. He graduated from Garden City High School and Kansas University. He was a former Lawrence resident.
Mr. Meyer worked in the environmental services department of Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
He married Kristina Rodriguez on June 22, 1991, in Garden City. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Miranda Meyer, of the home; his parents, Garden City; two brothers, David, Dallas, and Dwayne, Moscow, Russia; two sisters, Deidre Myers, Coronado, Calif., and Donelle Broskow, Chicago; and a grandmother, Dena Meyer, St. John.
The family suggests memorials to the Miranda Meyer Educational Fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
