Kathleen Margaret Baska

Mrs. Baska died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at her home.

She was born March 28, 1939, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Bronco and Francis Horvat Dodig. She was orphaned at an early age and raised by her aunt, Katherine Horvat.

Mrs. Baska retired from the J.C. Penney Distribution Center in Lenexa in 1990 and worked as a relay supervisor for Southwestern Bell in Lawrence. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and of the Communications Workers of America Local Union 6407 of Lawrence.

She married William Lee Baska on Oct. 7, 1958, in Miami, Okla. He died in 1984.

Survivors include a son, Mark Baska, Tonganoxie; two brothers, Steven Dodig, Overland Park, and John Dodig, California; two sisters, Margaret Pritchard, Ozawkie, and Loraine Rogers, Sarasota, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
