KU adds commitment

Darrell Stuckey, a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder, orally committed Friday to play football at Kansas University, according to Jon Kirby of rivals.com.

Stuckey, an all-league and all-state selection, led Kansas City Washington in tackles last season as a defensive back and had 777 yards rushing and 665 yards receiving on offense. Kirby said Stuckey would rate among the state’s top five prospects this season.

Stuckey is KU’s second known commitment for 2005. La Puente, Calif., lineman Jose Rodriguez (6-6, 255), the younger brother of KU lineman Cesar Rodriguez, also has made an oral commitment to KU.
