• Craig and Mandy Shultz, Lawrence, announce the birth of a daughter, Mary Katherine Grace Shultz, born March 12, 2004, in Lawrence. She joins a brother, William, 2.

Maternal grandparents are Amy and Gerald Rork, Lawrence. Paternal grandparents are Pat Shultz and Joe Shultz, Lawrence. Great-grandparents are Jack and Judy Hill, Lawrence, and Audrey Ohlandt, Austin, Texas.

• Kelly Shoemaker and Lynn Clark-Shoemaker, Linwood, announce the birth of a son, Garrett Riley Shoemaker, born June 9, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Maternal grandparents are the late Dr. Ray and Linda Clark, Lawrence. Paternal grandparents are Cheryl and David Travis, Lawrence, and John and Jan Shoemaker, Tonganoxie. Great-grandparents are Mary Clark, Lake Charles, La., and Doris Cunningham, Eudora.
• Wanda Sieber, Topeka, will celebrate her 85th birthday with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 26 in the office building of The Cottages of Topeka, 620 N.W. Lyman Road.

Her children are Marilyn Kopke, Great Bend; Jerald Brown, Overbrook; Robert Brown, Lawrence; Patricia Brown, Salt Lake City; and the late Leora Brown. Her stepchildren are Jody Robbins, Topeka; Fred Sieber, Sacramento, Calif.; and Bill Sieber, Green Bay, Wis. She has eight grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

• The descendants of George Edmonds and Eliza Tingle Edmonds will have a family reunion Sunday in Building 1 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds. A covered-dish dinner will begin at 12:30 p.m. Beverages and table service will be furnished. Those attending should bring a dish to share.
