Law enforcement report

  • Police responded to a fight early Thursday morning outside Astro’s pool hall, 601 Kasold Drive. Two Lawrence men, ages 25 and 22, told police they were battered by two unidentified people after an argument about a game of pool, according to a report. The men alleged one of the attackers had threatened to get a gun. Police made no arrests.

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A Lawrence resident reported three gold rings worth $2,400 taken from the 1000 block of West 24th Street between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a report. Also taken were credit cards, a driver’s license and $10 cash, among other items.
