Fort Worth, Texas ? Ted Musgrave earned his first pole in what has been a disappointing season in the NASCAR Truck series, running a qualifying lap of 180.971 mph Thursday at Texas Motor Speedway.

Musgrave is 15th in points after six races, 248 points behind leader Dennis Setzer. He only has one top-10 finish, and has started his Dodge in the top 10 only twice this year.

“Hopefully the season will turn around for us,” Musgrave said.
