Engel Road to be closed through August on KU’s Daisy Hill
Kansas University announced today that, starting next week, roadway improvement work will close parts of Engel Road until mid-August near the KU residence halls on Daisy Hill.
Beginning Monday, Engel Road will be closed between 15th Street and Irving Hill Road. However, the intersections crossing Engel at 15th Street and Irving Hill Road will be open.
During the roadway work, vehicle traffic to Lewis and Hashinger halls will be limited, although delivery vehicles will be allowed through, according to KU officials.
The project will eliminate entry into two parking lots north of Nunemaker and Templin halls. However, emergency vehicles will have access to all halls.
Construction is scheduled to be complete by Aug. 15.
