Dorothy H. Midyett

Mrs. Midyett died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was cremated.

She was born June 4, 1915, in Bonner Springs, the daughter of Albert Edward and Nora Marie Axe Dowding. She graduated from De Soto High School in 1932.

Mrs. Midyett was a homemaker and had worked with her husband at Miller-Midyett Real Estate.

She married Orville H. Midyett on Dec. 7, 1935, in Olathe. He died Oct. 30, 1965.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Midyett, McLouth, and Larry Midyett, Lawrence; a daughter, Linda Campbell, Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. or Douglas County Senior Services Meals on Wheels, sent in care of the funeral home.
