Bertha ‘Jean’ Kentch

? Services for Bertha “Jean” Kentch, 76, Scranton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Scranton United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Scranton Cemetery.

Mrs. Kentch died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Topeka.

She was born April 15, 1928, in Evansville, Ark., the daughter of Elbert and Eula Young Dunagun. She grew up and attended school in the Evansville area. She lived in the Kansas City area for a while before moving to the Overbrook and Scranton area in 1952.

She was a member of Lyndon Assembly of God Church, Scranton United Methodist Church and Women’s Aglow. She worked for Osage County Home Health.

She married Everett Kentch on Sept. 3, 1948, in Springfield, Mo. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Ray Gene Sigman, Scranton, Gary Wayne Kentch, Topeka, and Keith Kentch, Lawrence; two daughters, Connie Bingham, Olsburg, and Terri Rhoads, Burlingame; three sisters, Clara Ward, Reva Williams, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Wilma Doris, Caruthersville, Mo.; a brother, Tom Dunagan, Kansas City, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home in Overbrook, where family will receive them from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday.
