Mary Schoonover

MERRIAM ? Private inurnment for Mary Schoonover, 81, Shawnee, will be later in Antioch Cemetery in Williamsburg.

Mrs. Schoonover died Friday, June 4, 2004, at Sharon Lane Nursing Facility in Shawnee. She has donated her body to the Kansas University Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Lee’s Summit, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Jesse Largent Rubick. She grew up in Ottawa and graduated from Ottawa High School. She moved to Bonner Springs, where she lived for 30 years, and returned to Ottawa in 1973.

Mrs. Schoonover was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Jolly 60’s Club, both of Ottawa.

She married Fredrick Alfred Schoonover. He died May 30, 1986.

Survivors include two nieces and two nephews.
