KU sex class opponent to appear on KTWU

Sen. Susan Wagle, R-Wichita, and former Wichita Mayor Bob Knight, who’s challenging Wagle in the GOP primary, will be featured on this week’s edition of Kansas Public Television’s “On the Record,” airing at noon Sunday on KTWU, Channel 11 on Sunflower Broadband.

Wagle, a conservative, made headlines last year when she accused Kansas University professor Dennis Dailey of condoning pedophilia and showing pornographic videos to students in his human sexuality class. After a university-led investigation, the allegations were found to be without merit.

“On the Record” also will profile the race between Rep. Bill Kassebaum, R-Burdick, and former House Majority Leader Sheri Weber of Herington. Kassebaum, a moderate, defeated Weber, a conservative, two years ago.
