Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A red 2004 Ford Mustang GT valued at $26,585 was taken from Laird Noller Automotive, 935 W. 23rd St., between 3:15 p.m. and 5:29 p.m. Saturday.
  • Four alloy wheels and tires worth $2,000 were taken between 1 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday from a vehicle in the 200 block of Dover Square. The victim, a 50-year-old Lawrence man, also reported $1,000 damage to his vehicle.
  • An 18-year-old Leawood man reported a $2,000 CD and DVD player and a $1,000 amplifier stolen between 11 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday from the 900 block of West 23rd Street.
  • A car’s driver’s side window was broken between 1 a.m. and 5:17 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Mount Hope Court. An amplifier and two subwoofer speakers also were taken. Total damage and value of items taken was $1,425.
  • An unknown employee is suspected in the theft of $2,520 taken on five separate occasions between June 12 and June 27 from Presto, 2330 Iowa, according to a police report.
  • A rear window was broken and property worth $1,530 taken from a Kansas University student’s car at 15th and Tennessee streets. It happened between 11:15 p.m. Friday and 12:45 a.m. Saturday, according to a report.
  • An acquaintance is suspected of taking $6,970 in property from four KU students who live together in the 1200 block of Tennessee. The alleged incident happened July 17.
  • Bicycles, cast-iron sinks and lawn mowers were among items taken between May 1 and July 14 from a residence in the 600 block of Locust Street. Total value of items taken is $1,550.
  • A Lawrence man reported $3,900 in criminal damage to his car, including four tires slashed and damage to his paint job, between 5 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday. It happened in the 700 block of East 23rd Street.
  • A digital camera, personal computer and other items were taken from Nunemaker Hall on the KU campus between 5 p.m. June 23 and 8 a.m. June 24, according to a KU Public Safety Office report. Budget files from Room 214 were shredded, according to the report. Losses were estimated at $1,286.
  • A Power Mac G4 personal computer was taken from Lindley Hall on the KU campus between 8 a.m. July 4 and 10 a.m. July 19, according to a Public Safety Office report. Losses were estimated at $1,200.
