Richard A. Jones

Mr. Jones died Monday, July 19, 2004, at his home. He had lived in Lawrence for 20 years.

He was born Jan. 15, 1954, in Wichita, the son of James D. and Betty Nelson Jones.

Mr. Jones received his associate’s degree from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park.

He worked as a biomed technician at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his parents, of Wichita; two sisters, Jeanne Finkbeiner, Warrenton, Ore., and Cathy Morgan, Fort Collins, Colo.; and a brother, Dave, Wichita.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1901 Learnard Ave. in Lawrence.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Assn. or United Cerebal Palsy of Kansas, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
