Burglaries and thefts reported

  • An employee of Hurtig Construction reported Thursday that someone broke a window and took a washer and dryer from a company building in the 300 block of Eaton Drive in northwest Lawrence. The thefts occurred between July 1 and Wednesday, and losses totaled $1,500, according to the report.
  • A 53-year-old Lawrence woman reported Thursday that someone broke into her apartment in the 100 block of Perry Street and took $2,619.99 worth of property, including an air conditioner, two televisions and a stereo. The thefts happened between 1 p.m. July 5 and 6:06 a.m. Thursday, according to a report.
