Kevin Paul Meyer

Mr. Meyer died Friday, July 9, 2004, in an automobile accident in Durham County, N.C.

He was born Oct. 11, 1965, in Salt Lake City, the son of Ken and Shirley Meyer.

Mr. Meyer graduated from Olympus High School in Salt Lake City in 1984. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in 1988. In 1993, he earned a master’s degree in statistics from North Carolina State University.

Mr. Meyer had worked in the technical support department at SAS Institute in Cary since 1995.

Mr. Meyer was baptized at Holladay Baptist Church in Salt Lake City and later became a member of Pullen Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh and Binkley Memorial Baptist Church in Chapel Hill.

He often volunteered for charitable and environmental causes.

He married Alison Marquis, formerly of Lawrence, Kan., on Nov. 7, 1998. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Joshua, of the home; a daughter, Makenna, of the home; his parents, Phoenix.; and two brothers, Scott, Phoenix, and Dan, Clifton Park, N.Y.

The family suggests memorials to the Meyer Marquis Assistance Fund, Pullen Memorial Baptist Church or Binkley Memorial Baptist Church.

Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Raleigh is in charge of arrangements.
