The exhibition “Vanished Voices” at the Spencer Museum of Art includes works from the archaeology office of the Kansas State Historical Society in Topeka and the Kansas City Museum Collection, courtesy of Union Station, Kansas City, Mo. The source of the works was incomplete in a story in Sunday’s Arts & Living section.

Colombia declared its independence from Spain in 1810. The 2Day’s History Journal column for July 5 erroneously reported Venezuela’s 1811 declaration of independence from Spain made it the first South American country to do so.
