Affinitas expanding to downtown Lawrence

A Lawrence call center will add 100 new jobs to its operations later this month by expanding into vacant space at the Lawrence Riverfront Plaza.

Officials with Affinitas announced today that they’re moving their Lawrence call center operations from 1601 W. 23rd St. into the former Riverfront Mall space in Lawrence’s downtown.

As part of the move, the company will increase its employee levels from approximately 300 people to 400 people. The expansion will allow the company to take on a greater amount of call center work for a variety of Fortune 500 companies, Affinitas officials said.

The expansion will occupy space that formerly housed Sprint PCS, which also operated a call center in the location until closing it in May 2002.
