The Lawrence TGIF Duplicate Bridge Club met July 2. Eight tables competed in a stratified game that followed a Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed the stratified game.

Playing the North-South cards, Lester Dalton and Patt Radford finished first in A. Virginia Seaver and Sally Taylor were second. Betty Spalsbury and Ilse Steinhardt were third in A and first in B and C.

Competing East-West, Lois Clark and Cathy Blumenfeld tied for first in A, B and C with Dan Osman and Don Brennaman. Amit Chakrabarti and Steve Stewart were third in A.

  • The Lawrence Duplicate Bridge Club met Monday. Eight and a half tables competed in a stratified game. Virginia Seaver directed the Mitchell movement.

Playing the North-South cards, Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough claimed first place in A. Terry Tolar and Harry Shaffer finished second. Bobby McCorkle and Mary Beth Treece were third in A and first in B and C. Virginia Seaver and Julia Brooks were fourth in A.

Sitting East-West, Eldon Herd and Jerry Sloan placed first in A. Liz Rhea and Dave Rhea were second. Lester Dalton and Julia Dalton finished third. Paul Heitzman and Donna Johnson were fourth. Dan Osman and Don Brennaman placed first in B and C.

  • The Lawrence Mentors’ Duplicate Bridge Club met July 7. Six tables of players competed in a stratified game. Don Brennaman directed the Mitchell movement.

Playing the North-South cards, Dan Osman and Brennaman finished first in A. Pat Lombardi and Donna Munson placed second. Al Ballard and Emily Foster claimed first in B and C.

Competing East-West, Helen Huffman and Bob Huffman tied for first place in A and B with Steve Rego and Jo Andersen. Rego and Andersen were first in C.

Foster, Helen Huffman and Bob Huffman with Polly Schoning as a teammate won a second-place trophy June 27 at the Wichita Future Stars Tourney.
