Lewis busts out for 19 in Sting victory

— Tynesha Lewis scored a career-high 19 points, leading Charlotte to a 70-67 victory over Seattle on Thursday night.

Lewis passed her previous best of 16 points with a three-point play that gave the Sting a 66-60 lead with 2:30 to go.

Lauren Jackson scored 24 points for Seattle, which has lost two straight since its four-game road winning streak was snapped with a loss at Washington on Wednesday.

Fever 58, Lynx 56

Indianapolis -- Stephanie White made two free throws with 1.3 seconds remaining, giving Indiana the victory. Katie Smith scored 18 points for Minnesota.

Mystics 71, Liberty 54

New York -- Chamique Holdsclaw had 19 points and 10 rebounds, leading Washington to its third straight win. Vickie Johnson scored 14 points for New York.
