Santa Fe Trail

The week: Boss is quickly emerging as one of the area’s top players, and is a key reason the Chargers are 8-4 this season.

Competing in the Burlington Tournament last weekend, Boss averaged 19.7 points per game in the three-game tourney. In Santa Fe Trail’s lone victory, against Council Grove, Boss scored 25 points, and nailed seven of 11 three-point attempts. Boss is averaging 14.0 points per game for the Chargers, now entering the stretch run of Kaw Valley League play.

Comment: “She’s improved dramatically as far her confidence and her willingness to go out there and lead,” Santa Fe Trail coach Brenda Dahl said. “She’s such a hard worker. Her leadership comes with her play, and she’s really stepped up this year.”
