McDowell services

Mr. McDowell died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, in Lawrence. He was cremated.

He was born Oct. 9, 1946, in Knoxville, Tenn., the son of Carl C. and Katherine (Stepp) McDowell. He grew up in Paducah, Ky., and graduated from Paducah High School in 1965. He attended Murray State University in Murray, Ky., for two years.

Mr. McDowell was in the U.S. Army for 20 years before he retired in 1988. He moved to Lawrence in August 1993 and worked for E & E Display Group as a die press operator.

He married Anita E. Moske in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Marianne McDowell, Paducah; a stepson, Steven Bruce, Lawrence; a brother, Mike, Paducah; and a grandchild.

Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn., sent in care of the funeral home.
