Chicago Board of Trade

Corn and soybean futures shot higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat prices edged lower.

Wheat for March delivery fell 1/4 cent to $3.81 1/4 a bushel; March corn rose 4 1/4 cents to $2.81 1/4 a bushel; March oats rose 2 1/2 cents to $1.60 3/4 a bushel; March soybeans rose 8 1/4 cents to $8.47 1/2 a bushel.

Beef futures declined while pork futures advanced in trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle fell 1.50 cent to 78.67 cents a pound; March feeder cattle fell .65 cent to 83.57 cents a pound; February lean hogs rose .97 cent to 55.82 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose .50 cent to 83.50 cents a pound.
