Alice Marie Brubeck

STOCKTON, MO. ? Services for Alice Marie Brubeck, 87, Stockton, were Friday at Brumback Funeral Home in Stockton. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery in Washington Township, Cedar County.

Mrs. Brubeck died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at St. John’s Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born July 14, 1916, in Hydro, Okla., the daughter of Bert and Tillie Myers. She moved with her family in 1928 from Mountainair, N.M., to Cedar County, where she lived most of her life.

Mrs. Brubeck was a homemaker. From 1959 to 1986 she worked as a nurse in hospitals and nursing homes. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Stockton.

She married Loris Glen Brubeck on March 10, 1934, in Stockton. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara Goodman, Humansville; a son, Loris Brubeck Jr., Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, June Johnston, California, and Tillie Chancellor, Humansville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
