Texas has ‘issues’ in 67-45 victory

? Dominating defense. Thirty points off turnovers. Call it another comfortable home win — at least statistically — for third-ranked Texas.

Still, Wednesday night’s 67-45 win over Oklahoma State didn’t sit well with Longhorns coach Jody Conradt. Texas struggled to find its rhythm on offense and was outrebounded, 31-27, for the third time this season.

“We had tempo issues tonight,” Conradt said. “It’s not good when we get outrebounded. We’d play hard for a while, then somebody would relax.”

Guard Jamie Carey provided the offense for the Longhorns with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including four three-pointers.

“You definitely want the ball in the hands of someone who’s hot,” Carey said. “You have to be able to know the difference between a good shot and a bad shot. We’re learning.”

Stacy Stephens added 13 points and Tiffany Jackson scored 10 for Texas (16-2, 4-1 Big 12 Conference), which ran its home winning streak to 29. The Cowgirls (6-10, 1-4) have lost four in a row.

No. 3 Texas Tech 68, Nebraska 55

Lubbock, Texas — Alesha Robertson scored 19 points, and Texas Tech (17-1, 3-1) shook off some first-half trouble from feisty Nebraska to defeat the Cornhuskers (13-3, 3-2).

No. 14 Colorado 70, Texas A&M 58

Boulder, Colo. — Tera Bjorklund had 23 points, and No. 14 Colorado (15-2, 4-1) beat Texas A&M, the Buffs’ 10th consecutive victory over the Aggies (7-9, 0-5). CU’s Kate Fagan had 13 points, and Randie Wirt added 10 points and 13 rebounds.
