Paternal parity sought

New Rochelle, N.Y. — Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ ex-girlfriend says their 10-year-old son should get the same amount in child support — $30,000 a month, she claims — as his other son gets.

Misa Hylton-Brim testified Tuesday in Family Court in New Rochelle in her lawsuit seeking a raise from the monthly $5,000 she now gets for 10-year-old Justin.

Her lawyer, Brett Kimmel, said she needs the extra money to keep up with expenses including private school, a full-time nanny and around-the-clock security.

He said the hip-hop entrepreneur pays about $30,000 a month to support his 6-year-old son, Christian, whose mother is model Kim Porter.

Fun and fearless

New York — Matthew Perry, “the epitome of a hot Cosmo male,” has been named Cosmopolitan magazine’s Fun Fearless Male for 2004.

In a recent statement, Editor-in-Chief Kate White also described Perry, the 34-year-old co-star of NBC’s “Friends,” as “handsome, charming and incredibly talented. Plus, he’s retained his optimism and sense of humor through difficult personal relationships.”

Alicia Silverstone, star of the 1995 film “Clueless” and NBC’s “Miss Match,” is the magazine’s Fun Fearless Female of the year.

White described the 27-year-old Silverstone as gutsy and talented and said she lives life with a vengeance. “I really respect how committed she is to her beliefs and how she works to improve the world around her.”

Environmental defenders

New York — The Natural Resources Defense Council will honor actor Robert Redford and restaurateur Alice Waters for their leadership in environmental protection at a gala March 29 in New York City.

Redford has been a member of NRDC’s board of trustees for 28 years. His films include “Barefoot in the Park,” “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” “The Sting” and “All the President’s Men.”

Waters, owner of Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Calif., is a strong advocate for farmer’s markets and for sound and sustainable agriculture.

Garfunkel charged for pot

Hurley, N.Y. — Art Garfunkel, part of the folk music duo Simon and Garfunkel, was charged with marijuana possession after police pulled his limousine over for speeding in upstate New York.

Garfunkel, 62, had a small amount of marijuana in his jacket pocket when a state trooper stopped the limo Saturday afternoon in Hurley, 55 miles southwest of Albany, the Daily Freeman of Kingston reported.

The trooper smelled marijuana after approaching the vehicle, in which Garfunkel was the lone passenger.

Garfunkel, of Manhattan, was scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28 on the charge, which carries a possible $100 fine, or he could respond by mail.
