— Mark Randtke shrugged off early foul trouble and scored a game-high 20 points, and Veritas Christian School held off Topeka Cornerstone Christian, 67-60, in high school boys basketball Tuesday.

Randtke picked up his second foul in the second quarter and headed to the bench. So did Matt Steinle, who suffered a sprained ankle.

"We jumped on 'em quick with a 23-4 first quarter," Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. "Then we lost two of our starters, and they got back in the game. We don't have a real deep bench, but the guys held on and continued to play with intensity."

Kirk Long added 16 points, and Andrew Bartlow and Michael Kay had 10 each for Veritas (3-7).
