Area girls roundup: Kracl powers Eudora past Louisburg; De Soto triumphs

? Eudora High’s girls basketball team stayed unbeaten in Frontier League play by downing Louisburg, 54-44, Tuesday night.

Senior Lauren Kracl scored a game-high 18 points, despite the fact she was harassed by Louisburg’s box-and-one defense during the first half.

Michelle Deluna contributed 11 points, Carrie Lister nine and Kayla Moyer seven for the Cardinals, 8-2 overall entering next week’s Wellsville tournament.

“It wasn’t a pretty win by any means,” Eudora coach Cara Kimberlin said. “It was a pretty ugly game. They play a hack and slap at the ball, in-your-face defense. It flustered us a bit. We played more to that type of game instead of slowing down and playing controlled.”
