— Spencer Kennedy scored 24 points and Drew Tucker 16 as Perry-Lecompton's boys basketball team claimed a 58-54 come-from-behind basketball victory over McLouth Tuesday in a first-round McLouth tournament game.

Tucker made four three-pointers as the Kaws battled back from a 34-26 halftime deficit. Kennedy had 11 rebounds, while Tucker and Ryan Guffey had six rebounds each.

"Our guys battled, hung in and executed," said Kaws' coach Pat Hupfauf. "We didn't turn it over late, took charges."

The Kaws, 4-5, next meet Shawnee Maranatha in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
