Where are they now?

Todd Trahan

School/class: Free State High, 2001

In high school: Trahan’s foot became a useful weapon for more than one coach at Free State. Not only did he set the single-season goals record on the soccer field his senior year with 17 (a mark since eclipsed by Nick Ens and Joel Angelone), but Trahan also served as kicker for the Firebirds football team, and booted 10 extra points during Free State’s 2000 season.

Where is he now?: Trahan is playing soccer at South Carolina-Spartanburg, a Division Two powerhouse in the Peach Belt Conference. How good is USCS? Since Trahan arrived in the fall of 2001, the Rifles are 48-8-3, an .857 winning percentage. This season, the Rifles went 15-1-2 and outscored opponents 83-16. Trahan, while not starting, is seeing plenty of action, and has three goals and two assists for his career. Against Montreat his sophomore year, Trahan had his best game as collegiate player, scoring a goal and adding two assists.
