Chicago Board of Trade

Grain and soybean futures soared Monday in activity on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 13 3/4 cents to $3.99 1/4 a bushel; March corn rose 14 1/2 cents to $2.65 1/2 a bushel; March oats rose 7 3/4 cents to $1.62 3/4 a bushel; March soybeans rose 29 3/4 cents to $8.22 3/4 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures declined in trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. February live cattle fell 1.22 cent to 74.70 cents a pound; March feeder cattle fell 1.50 cent to 83.37 cents a pound; February lean hogs fell 1.98 cent to 51.77 cents a pound; February pork bellies fell .78 cent to 83.92 cents a pound.
