Lillian Faye Adams

? Services for Lillian Faye Adams, 101, Meriden, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Meriden United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Meriden Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Deer Park Senior Group Home in Meriden.

She was born Sept. 4, 1902, in Denver, the daughter of Julius J. and Ethel Pearl Keech Lang. She moved from Ozaw-kie, where she had lived most of her life, to Meriden in 1975.

Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and helped her husband farm in the Ozawkie and Meriden areas. She was a member of Meriden United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Country Quilters Club in Grantville, Meriden North Home Extension Unit and Rock Creek Bible Church Ladies Aid Society. She was a 50-year member of Mount Pleasant Grange and Grange Women Workers of Mount Pleasant Grange.

She married George “Dewey” Adams on July 24, 1920, in Meriden. He died Aug. 23, 1979.

A grandson also died earlier.

Survivors include four sons, Melvin D. Adams, Aurora, Colo., Eldon K. Adams, Ozaw-kie, Billie D. Adams, Topeka, and Danny R. Adams, Meriden; five daughters, Doris A. Brown, Norma J. Reed and Donna L. Cummings, all of Topeka, L. Janet Torluemke, Aurora, Colo., and Sandra L. Newell, Lincoln; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Meriden United Methodist Church, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.
