Community resources for weight management and family fitness will be covered. All family members older than 5 are welcome to attend. There will be a nutrition activity for children. Class size is limited, and early registration is advised. Fee is $15 per family. To enroll, call ConnectCare at (785) 749-5800.

Heart disease, Type II Diabetes and many cancers can be linked to an unhealthy diet. LMH will have a free educational program, “Eating to Beat the Big Three,” from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the hospital.

Hendrickson will conduct the class, helping participants understand and select lifestyle components — especially diet — that may help decrease the chance of developing these diseases. Call ConnectCare at (785) 749-5800 for more information.
