• Kansas leads the all-time series, 128-63. Oklahoma won the last meeting, 77-70, Feb. 23, 2003, in Norman, Okla.
• Kansas coach Bill Self is 0-2 against the Sooners, and OU coach Kelvin Sampson is 5-9 versus the Jayhawks.
• KU is 65-16 all-time against the Sooners in Lawrence and 38-7 against Oklahoma in Allen Fieldhouse.
• Self, a native of Edmond, Okla., went 0-9 against the Sooners as a player at Oklahoma State from 1982-85. KU assistant coach Tim Jankovich was 3-8 versus OU as a player at Kansas State.
• Keith Langford needs five points to pass Jo Jo White for 22nd place on Kansas’ all-time scoring list.
• Aaron Miles needs 15 assists to pass Cedric Hunter for second place on KU’s all-time career assist list. Miles needs nine steals to pass Kirk Hinrich for third place on the Jayhawks’ all-time career steals list. Miles needs three double-figure assist games to tie Jacque Vaughn for the KU career record in that category.
• Wayne Simien needs two double-doubles to tie Eric Chenowith for fifth place on the Jayhawks’ all-time career double-double list.
• OU sophomore forward Kevin Bookout, who averaged 7.6 points and 5.5 boards in 13 games, is out for the season following reconstructive shoulder surgery. Bookout, a 6-8, 265-pounder who earned Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors last year, is expected to return next season. He will have two seasons of basketball eligibility remaining and three in track.
