Offutt services

Services for Ruth Elizabeth Woodbury Craig Offutt, 86, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Clay Center. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center.

Mrs. Offutt died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community.

She was born Dec. 24, 1917, in Bala, the daughter of Irving H. and Ruth L. McKinley Woodbury. She graduated from high school in Riley and attended cosmetology school in Kansas City.

Mrs. Offutt was a cosmetologist for 43 years. She was a member of Lone Star Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include two daughters, Vonda Mailen, Lawrence, and Cristine Bolley, Broken Arrow, Okla.; a son, Richard Craig, Collinsville, Okla.; a brother, Hoyt Woodbury, Clay Center; two sisters, Annie Stevens, Sheldon, Iowa, and Jewel Robinson, Clay Center; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel.

The family suggests memorials to Trinity Broadcasting Network’s “Smile of a Child,” sent in care of the funeral chapel.
