Overbrook ? Balanced scoring helped Santa Fe Trail’s girls basketball team down Perry-Lecompton, 58-40, Friday night.

Lindsay Boss scored 13 points, while Brea Rutter, Alexis Pryor and Brooke Pryor each had 12 points for SF Trail, 11-7. Alexis Pryor grabbed 15 rebounds.

“Perry played a great first half,” SF Trail coach Brenda Dahl noted. Her Chargers led, 28-25, at intermission. “We were neck and neck, but we came out and dominated the third quarter (21-7). We had balanced scoring and that makes us tough.

“It was nice to see Brea Rutter step up, hit some shots and keep that confidence.”

Megan Blosser led the Kaws with 13 points.

De Soto — De Soto’s defense keyed a game-ending 13-0 run as the Wildcats beat Immaculata. Allie Heinen scored 19 points, Amy Petty 16 and Lisa Lambert nine for De Soto (17-1).

“The last five minutes we just played tremendous defense,” De Soto coach Dwight Spencer said. “Becca Davis had several key rebounds on the defensive end down the stretch.”

Paola — Emily Brown scored 19 points, and Anna Gillispie added 16 as Baldwin topped Paola for its seventh straight victory.

Gillispie and Kari Garrison both sank two three-pointers in the second quarter when the Bulldogs made 25-8 run. Garrison finished with 10 points.

Baldwin (15-2) faces a tough week next week, starting with Monday’s game at Kansas City Ward.
