Touching story
To the editor:
I just finished reading Bill Snead’s wonderful article on Dorothy Rumbaugh and her son, Gary (“Raising Gary: A mother’s love and a lot of faith,” Feb. 8). As a former Lawrence resident currently living in Highlands Ranch, Colo., I try to read the Journal-World online as often as I can. The story of this mother and son team was so deeply heartwarming, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Dorothy and Gary for allowing Bill Snead to share their inspiring story. It is comforting to know that there are angels among us like Dorothy and Gary, and I wish them both continued health and happiness.
