It’s Valentine’s Day, so cuddle up and watch “Cops” with someone you love! You can’t accuse the folks at Fox of excessive sentimentality.

While cable networks offer Valentine’s Day “chick flick” marathons, Fox has taken a conceptual chain saw to the holiday with a two-hour “Cops” special titled “Love Hurts” (7 p.m. today, Fox). The network promises 15 video-verite versions of wife battering, drunken disputes and other acts of domestic violence. This is a tad extreme, even from the folks who brought you “Bridezilla” and “My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance.”

Other Valentine’s Day festivals include a four-episode mini-marathon of “The L Word” (8 p.m. today, Showtime). This stylish soap opera has already been picked up for a second season.

For those looking for more G-rated romantic fare, ABC will rebroadcast the 2002 animated treat “A Charlie Brown Valentine” (7 p.m. today, ABC).

• The gushy stuff doesn’t end with Valentine’s Day. The original TV romance “It Must Be Love” (8 p.m. Sunday, CBS) stars married couple Ted Danson (“Becker”) and Mary Steenburgen (“Joan of Arcadia”) as George and Clem Gazelle, a bright, attractive Connecticut duo. First seen at the wedding of their daughter, they seem like a dream team. But once the big day is out of the way and they have an empty nest on their hands, they settle down to their next big project: getting a divorce.
• Oscar winners Anjelica Huston and Hilary Swank star in the 2004 cable drama “Iron Jawed Angels” (8:30 p.m. Sunday, HBO). “Angels” revisits a pivotal moment in the struggle for women’s suffrage, when young advocates like Alice Paul (Swank) wrested control of the movement from traditionalists who had been content to lobby for the right to vote on a state-by-state basis.

• Have a sweet tooth and a driver’s license? Plan a trip to one of the tasty tourist traps documented on “Chocolate Festival Fantasies” (8 p.m., Food).
• Drew Barrymore is host of “Saturday Night Live” (10:30 p.m., NBC), featuring musical guest Kelis. Barrymore holds the record as the youngest “SNL” host, first appearing when she was just 7 years old.
