Anna Gale Evans

Ms. Evans died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at Wellsville Manor.

She was born Sept. 26, 1907, in Wamego, the daughter of William and Clara (Richey) Evans. She graduated from Wamego High School.

Ms. Evans worked for Greyhound Bus Lines and for Harzfeld’s Clothing in Kansas City, Mo., for many years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Lawrence and the American Business Women’s Club.

Survivors include three nieces, JoAnn Massengale, Wellsville, Janet Oest, Bonner Springs, and Mary Ann Chrisman, New Jersey; and a nephew, Phil Evans, Oskaloosa.
