Basehor ? Willie Treaster and Gabe Gantz each had double-doubles, and Perry-Lecompton pulled away from Basehor-Linwood with a 25-10 run in the final quarter for a 66-49 victory Tuesday.

“It really was a close game,” Perry-Lecompton coach Pat Hupfauf said. “We really met their challenge. Our kids made defensive stop after defensive stop.”

The Kaws also made seven of 11 free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter and finished 15 of 22 at the line. Basehor was 4-of-11.

“That was really important, getting to foul line,” Hupfauf said. “That was our strategy before the game, to be aggressive and get to line.”

Perry (7-7) also was aggressive on the boards and had a 39-34 rebounding advantage. Treaster had 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Gantz added 10 point and 12 rebounds. Drew Robbins matched Treaster with 16 points.

The Kaws will play a makeup game Thursday at Leavenworth Immaculata.
