The Indians are 5-8 overall, and also 1-3 in league play. … SM North has lost three of its last four, though it did beat Oklahoma New Life Christian, 66-12, in the Wichita Kapaun tournament Saturday. … Free State is led by junior Jamie Stanclift, the team’s leading scorer at 9.6 points per game, and senior Jenny Gwaltney, who’s averaging 8.4 points per game. … Sophomore Banaka Okwuone, who pulled down a school-record 17 rebounds against Wichita North, is one of the Sunflower League’s top rebounders. … Free State has just two non-league games left on its schedule: Saturday’s showdown with Lawrence High and Feb. 21 against Wichita Southeast.
